National Education Policy (NEP 2020)
The new education policy 2020 was approved on 29 July 2020. The aim of this policy is to pave the way for transformational reforms in school and higher education systems in India. This policy was prepared after a long time, 34 years. The old national education (NPE) was framed in 1986 by Rajiv Gandhi’s union cabinet. NPE was first drafted in 1986 and updated in 1992 and now in 2020 there has been a change in the education system by the BJP government.
NEP is a comprehensive framework for elementary education to higher education as well as vocational training in both rural and urban India.
It is said, ” education is a weapon by which humans can reduce their poverty.” Gandhiji advocated for free and compulsory education for all between 7 and 14 years . He emphasized on handicraft and vocational training because it nurtures their self-esteem, respect and responsibilities .It gives the shape of a child’s mind and soul . He also emphasized that education should be in the mother tongue so that children would be enable to understand easily what they are taught .
✓There has been a great change in our education policy.
Transformational reforms in schooling education will be done towards reducing curriculum content to enhance essential learning and critical thinking in students.
✓The format of 10 + 2 has been completely abolished and now it will be run according to 5 + 3 + 3 + 4. lt means primary to 2nd, 3rd to 5th, 6th to 8th and 9th to 12th class.
We can explain this format like this :- Schooling begins from the age of three years with three years of Anganwadi as pre-schooling.
There will be four slabs for schooling.
Foundation stage – The first five years including three years of primary education and class 1 and 2.
Preparatory stage – The next three years consists of class 3 to 5th.
Middle stage – The next three years consist 6 to 8th class.
Secondary stage – The last four years of schooling consisting class 9th to 12th.

✓No rigid separation between arts and science stream means science students can also opt art stream subjects according their interest.

In graduation, if any student leaves the course after 1 year, then they will be received a ‘certificate’ for the first year course and after 2 year they will be received a ‘diploma’ and after three years of completion the course, they will be received ‘degree’.
Wow that means, if any reason behind dropping the course, students would not bear loss of a penny, even their precious year would not be vain . They can continue their study after the break ,meanwhile they can enroll in any course.👏👏👏
√ Oh yes!! The most interesting thing in this education ,every student will learn coding and do an internship from class 6th onwards.

√ 10th class board exams will not be conducted from 2021-22 and students will get a chance to give the board exam twice in a year to improve their scores.
